EMP News Winter 2023!

Dear Reader,

EFOMP is delighted to announce the publication of the Winter 2023 issue of its quarterly newsletter, European Medical Physics News.

This issue represents a significant shift in the EFOMP organisation, with a new president and general secretary, as well as changes in the chair positions of the majority of the committees, as detailed in the editorial piece. You will also discover the current president's and secretary's final articles, both of which draw up their adventures in their jobs as well as their personal and emotional input.

This issue also commemorates the International Day of Medical Physics, which is celebrated by medical physics associations from all throughout Europe.

As usual, you will discover a fantastic collection of articles published by European medical physicists on a wide range of topics, including scientific literature overviews, book reviews, professional issues, scientific research, and much more. This is in addition to the entries on the history of art and medical physics. I hope you enjoy everything.

There are a good number of meeting reports, and announcements of major conferences and educational courses which I strongly recommend you read. They are both educational and motivating.
For your reading enjoyment, here is a compilation of recent articles published by EFOMP business members. Reading about the companies they run and the products and services they offer is both educational and amusing. I hope you like any article you choose to read in this issue of European Medical Physics News. This is a regular occurrence in the journal.

As I conclude my term as chair of the Communication and Publication Committee with this my last editorial leadership, I would like to end on a positive note by extending my best wishes to my colleague Oleksandra V. Ivashchenko, who will assume the position in January 2024. I will also be serving as Past Chair that year.
